12.06.2022 – HELLENIC HALYVOURGIA SUPPORTS THE OLYMPIC MEDALIST “MANOLO” IN THE FIRST “FLY OLYMPIA Street Pole Vault”
The first “FLY OLYMPIA Street Pole Vault” organized by the fourth Olympic champion in Tokyo in pole vault, Emmanouil Karalis (also known as Manolo) exclusively for pole vault, took place with great success on Sunday 12 June 2022.
In his hometown, Ilia, and specifically in its most historic part, Ancient Olympia, top pole vault athletes participated in the first Fly Olympia, outside the Town Hall of Ancient Olympia.
The ambition of the organizers is to create a meeting that will be a permanent stopover for the world’s top jumpers in the future, but also to bring Greece and Olympia, the place where the Olympic Games were born, back in the spotlight. This project was supported by the Hellenic Halyvourgia, which the Olympic champion and initiator of the event Emmanouil Karalis thanked , renewing their appointment for next year’s 2nd “FLY OLYMPIA Street Pole Vault”.
